My hubby's son has been in the restaurant business for many years now. He has worked in the kitchen, waited tables and managed high end restaurants for most of his working years since he was fourteen years old. He is really good at what he does and hopes to have his own restaurant someday. He has discussed that possibility with some of his friends before but has never quite been able to put a deal together.
If my hubby can manage to sell one of his patents soon, we might invest in a hotel and restaurant business that would be managed by his son. I found this website called PeachSuite Hospitality Supply that does Hotel Supplies & Restaurant Supply and also Resort Supplies & Catering Supplies. I think they would be a really good place to get reasonable prices on the things that we would need to start up that kind of business.
