High Speed Internet Connection

The internet connection we had before was a dial up internet connection. We did not have an option because we live in a remote area and that was the only internet connection available at the time. Based on my experience that kind of connection was slow and frustrating, especially if you wanted to watch videos and download big files. On top of that, I wasn't able to voice chat with my family. When I tried the voice would be very choppy and almost indiscernible. For more than a year after I got here to the US I endured the dial up internet connection because I had no choice.

We almost signed up for a high speed satellite internet connection but finally got service through the phone company. We got this high speed internet connection about three years ago and I love it. I am able to watch my favorite shows online and most of all I am able to voice chat with my family abroad without having any audio problems. It was a great relief when we finally got our fast internet connection and now I am able to work online. I know there are still a lot of people out there who don't have access to high speed phone line or cable internet connections. My hubby says that if we hadn't gotten the ground line connection, he would have definitely gone to high speed satellite by now.
