I have watched the video above produced by leapfish. This video gives me a good understanding of the evolution of the internet. I couldn’t imagine what the internet was like before I started using it a few years ago. I learned about the internet seven years ago from my classmate in college. I didn’t have access to a computer nor an internet connection at the time. In the beginning I used to pay about a dollar per hour to check emails and to chat online at the local internet café. Now it only costs about twenty cents per hour there and has become increasingly popular. A few years later, I met my husband at an online dating site. He then bought me a computer with an internet connection. Soon afterwards, I started my blog. Then I joined social networking sites like Myspace and Friendster. Facebook and Twitter seems to be the latest craze in the past year or so. You can now search for and find anyone in the world with just a few clicks of the mouse. The World Wide Web now gives us more possibilities than I could have ever imagined.
